Natural Parks of Japan

Japan’s natural parks, which include its national parks, constitute some of the country’s most iconic natural landscapes. Currently, Japan’s 34 national parks, 56 quasi-national parks, and 311 prefectural natural parks welcome approximately 900 million visitors every year. The area occupied by natural parks accounts for 14% of the national territory, and constitutes the core of Japan’s natural conservation mandate. Moreover, a variety of facilities and programs have also been prepared as sites for learning about nature, intending to make an impression on the people who visit the parks and to elicit their interest in the natural world. Why not consider planning to visit?
